Oh yes, another music gig held at The Bee!
Soundstruck: LIVE! is a series of music events started by alternative rock act, Wanted Symphony. It’s been running for over a year, but faced a short hiatus due to venue issues. The Bee Jaya One is happy to be hosting them from August onwards.
Sometimes, there’s nothing as perfect as a good cup of coffee, and a good book. Which is why we’re excited to be hosting our first book club gathering at The Bee Jaya One. The KL Book Exchange Club will be meeting on 24 August and all bookworms are invited!
Founder Diana Yeong created the Facebook group 9 months ago and their membership is over 600-strong now. Meeting monthly, the group wants to get the conversation going about book recommendations and facilitate private book sales. They’re particularly passionate about children’s books, ranging from Roald Dahl’s classics, to the dystopian-themed “The Giver”, by Lois Lowry. If you love books (and discussing them later), drop by!
We’re the venue host to Magicnation, a live magic show that is the pre-show to David Blaine’s show in Kuala Lumpur! Get your tickets by dropping an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
We’re hosting coffee ground readings on 17 July with Soleil Trinity at The Bee Publika. Some of you might remember them as the organisers for the popular Dinner & Divination held in May at our Publika outlet. This time, the readings promises to be more intimate and relaxed as number of participants are limited.
If you wondered what coffee ground reading (aka tasseography) is about, well you’re not alone. We spoke to Jessie Lee, founder and chief consultant at Soleil Trinity, for the lowdown on tasseography.
